About the Author

V.J. Malagisi is a long time soccer coach, passionate about the game of soccer and a Dad to 4 beautiful children (3 boys and one girl). His daughter Madeline was the inspiration for the character “Madeline” from whom Amethyst draws her strength and leadership. His children’s love of books were the motivation to create Amethyst and set her on adventures in the world of soccer so as to excite and inspire children of all ages through stories of love, passion, leadership, fun and adventure. It is his hope that children enjoy the stories he has written. Enjoy!   ​
